B. Limited Liability Companies (LLCs)

Belize Limited Liability Companies, in addition to the requirements of companies, must paint or affix its name on the outside of every office or place where it conducts business including the registered office in a conspicuous place.[1]
Licensable Activities

(1.) Banking Business

Those carrying on the banking business from Belize are required to incorporate if the number of partners exceeds ten persons.[2]

(a.) The Belize Banks and Financial Institutions Act, 1995

(b.) Offshore Banking Act, 1996[3]

This act addresses and strengthens bank secrecy laws within Belize. There are civil and penal laws that provide stringent and wide reaching laws requiring Belizean banks to practice the highest levels of discretion.[4] For further details on Banking activities in Belize.

(2.) Insurance Business

(3.) Investment Business

International Business and Public Investment Companies (IBC) Act 1990 – Some benefits of the IBC in Belize include exemption from all income taxes, dividend taxes, interest rent and royalties taxes, exemption from capital gains taxes, no citizenship or residency requirements, and meetings of shareholders/directors can be held anywhere.[6] See CHAPTER 19: CARIBBEAN INVESTMENT CORPORATION
